Scissor x Sub members can build a subscription of their choice. This removes the huge cost of buying all the equipment a hair professional needs to perform their daily tasks. You can also exchange your items by adding in or taking away tools you do or don't use.

You can swap, service or remove any items from your subscription.

your scissors go blunt (which they inevitably all do from time to time), you can book them in for a service. We'll send you a sharp pair, exactly like the ones you have subscribed to, with a pack to send back your blunt scissors, for us to service.

If one of your pieces of electrical equipment breaks down, you can exchange it for a working piece of equipment by simply clicking the swap button within your account and choosing which tool you want to swap. We'll send you a working tool as soon as we have your request, with a pack to send the broken tool back to us to service.

You can start to build your subscription from as little as £20.00 per month. Our minimum subscription starts with 4 items and you can subscribe to as many as 10 items and still be paying less than £1.65 per day!

Yes! If you feel you aren't going to use an item in your subscription bundle or if you feel you need to add a piece of equipment to a bundle, you can do all this in your account. Simply request that we send out a returns pack to you – or select a new piece of equipment and add that on and we'll send it out to you for next day delivery should we have this in available stock.

No. All the equipment is owned and maintained by us.

We have found that the cost of owning, maintaining and replacing broken equipment, far outweighs the cost of our subscription. The benefits in having access to all the necessary equipment without having to maintain and replace the equipment are there for you to see.

No, we service your equipment under the terms of our agreement.

Your contract runs for 12 months so if you are in month 10 for example, you would simply pay off the existing subscription payments on your plan and send the equipment back to us.

Yes is the simple answer. There will be no warranty or return policy included as the equipment will be classed as used, dissolving any warranty.

There is a button within your account that allows you to book your scissors in for a service. Click that and select the scissor you would like to be serviced. We'll send a package to you that you must put the selected scissor into, then seal the package and take it to your local post office. Royal Mail will then scan it and send it to us. We will then send you back a serviced pair of scissors within 48 hours.

Yes. For new subscribers, we aim to send new equipment to you. If you send a pair of scissors back to us for service, you could receive back a used pair. These will be clean, fully serviced and sanitised. As if they had just left the factory they are made in.

For electrical goods, any equipment that is returned to us will be serviced. It will then be sent to you after being PAT tested and cleaned thoroughly. All equipment will go through the same rigorous quality checks as it did when it left the factory.
